Intro: If you look around the web you will find that one of the most common
New Year’s Resolutions for 2013 is to lose weight.
Let’s discuss how to ditch the extra pounds.
Step 1: Consume more.
Say what? How can you lose weight if you consume more?
It depends what you consume.
What I am talking about is: consume more water.
Most of us need to drink more water and less of other drinks.
That alone will help you with your weight.
Step 2: Consume less.
You knew there would be a “consume less” in there somewhere.
Consume less of what? Consume less sugar.
For instance, no sugar in coffee or tea. No fruit juices.
In fact, any drink that contains any fructose or corn syrup is off limits.
These sugary drinks are not just off limits for 2013.
They are off limits forever.
There is no minimum daily requirement for refined sugar.
And there certainly is no minimum daily requirement for fructose or corn syrup.
You will be much, much healthier,
and your odds of living longer get much,
much better if you cut the sugar back to a minimum.
Don’t drink sugar!!! No sodas either. No pop. No soda pop.
Step 3: Consume more.
If you are honest with yourself,
you already know what I am going to say you should consume more of.
Vegetables. You need more green.
And while you are at it eat more red, yellow and orange vegetables too.
Eat more celery, peppers, carrots, broccoli and even cauliflower and Brussels sprouts.
Step 4: Consume less.
You should not eat any cooked fruits.
I could give all kinds of reasons for this but I will stick to the heart of the matter.
Many chefs use cooked fruits as excuses to incorporate more sugar into your food.
Step 5: Consume more.
Eat more oily, deep sea fish like mackerel and sardines.
Salmon is good for you too.
Watch out for the mercury and watched out for
the farmed raised stuff that can be full of God only knows what?
Step 6: Consume less.
Most other things should simply be done in moderation.
Consult your doctor on all dietary changes to make sure
they are right for you but for many people cutting back
the amount of red meat and grain in your diet would be a good thing.
You may still eat some but your main diet should be water and vegetables.
Step 7: Consume ???
When it comes to taking vitamins, supplements, coffee, tea, etc., who knows?
Do your homework.
Look at as many of the pros and cons as you can and make up your own mind on these.
I personally think that green tea and fish oil are not terrible.
