The best ways to earn more are by Linking to your Articles, Using Keywords, and Writing Great Articles. Link to your Articles The best way to link to your articles is to use social bookmarking sites. A social bookmarking site is a website designed to let internet surfers find articles and blogs which they might have a particular interest in. Social bookmarking websites like digg.com, allow you to sign up and link to any article you’d like. Many popular social bookmarking sites include: reddit.com delicious.com buzz.yahoo.com technorati.com folkd.com jumptags.com mixx.com These bookmarking sites let you sign up and post links to your articles. When posting your articles to these sites you may have to enter a brief description of your article and a few keywords but it is well worth it. Posting links to your articles on these sites can dramatically increase visitors to your articles. Another great way to link to your articles is by using social networking websites. Social networking sites allow you to create profiles and have friend’s lists along with a wide array of other things. If you don’t already have a profile with one or two social networking sites, get one. Linking back to your articles is a great way to get more visitors. It helps spread the word about your articles to your friends and family. Use Keywords Not only using keywords but using the right keywords will help people find your articles better through search engines. If your article is about losing weight then the title, introduction, body, and tips and recommendations sections of your article should all contain the words “lose weight. You shouldn’t stuff your articles full of keywords either but you should always make sure you have at least one or two major keywords in each section of your article. If a person searches Google to learn how to do something they will usually type “How to lose weight” or simply “lose weight.” The title of your article should be simple also, such as “How to Lose Weight” instead of something too complex such as “How to Easily and Quickly Lose That Extra Weight. Write Great Articles If you are writing about a unique topic then you may get a lot of views, ratings, and comments on your article because there is a limited supply of articles on such a unique topic. If you are writing on a topic which has mass appeal then there will be more competition but your article will have a much wider potential audience. If you write about a current trend or issue then your article will be popular at first but may lose visitors as that trend or issue fades. If you can write articles that almost anyone can appeal to you will get a lot of traffic, but that is easier said than done. Research has shown, adding photos to your articles helps to boost popularity. Try to keep articles between 400-600 words. Research has shown that articles longer than 600 words and articles less than 400 words typically don’t do as well. Although articles under 400 words don’t do as well, there are many topics which will only be 150-300 words long. For example, if you are writing an article, such as “How to Make Sangria,” it will be very hard, and probably a bad idea, to stretch it out to 400 words. A simple recipe like Sangria may only be 180 words. Grammar is also an important factor. Your credibility will often go out the window if your article has typos or is difficult to read. Be sure to read through your articles upon completion. There is always something to be said about quality articles, but if you really want to earn a lot of money, you should produce a large quantity of articles. The writers who make the most money have hundreds of articles. The best way to get a lot of articles is to set a goal and lay out a plan to achieve that goal. For example, you could write 2 articles a day for 1 year. After a year, you would have 730 articles and would be one of the top writers on FireHow. Always keep track of how many views your articles are getting. You can start to learn which topics earn you the most money. Remember, views are counted by unique page views so repeatedly clicking the refresh button or visiting your own article over and over again will not boost your view count. |
