We're pretty used to an economy that encourages us to buy, use, and dispose of things. Furniture, clothing, electronics — nothing really seems to LAST anymore, does it? Many of the times we see on the commercials on T.V that shows a brand new car that has: This and That: and really your car is only a year old. Then you go thru your mind and thin, “I should sell my car and buy that new car”. You then think you are being brainwashed. That’s in the extreme scenario, but the truth is that a lot of the times we don’t need to by new things. The old things that we have can become new or can be used in a different way.  Let us learn how we can all have old things look like new…………………………………..
1. Couple weeks ago we found an old wheel barrow that the wheel base was broken. Â We load it up on the truck and took it home. Now what can I do with an old wheelbarrow you might ask? One I can fix it and make work. Another you can use it a planter and add some beautiful flowers.
2. Take your old basket and fill it with can foods, loaf of fresh bread, and different items that you find inside your pantry and give as a gift.
3. I use plastic grocery bags and pick up doggy doo or use it for my trash baskets at home too. It does not cost me a dime.
4. I remember as I was growing up that my mother used the egg cartons to decorate a trash basket around.
5. Need a smock for your child? Well use a long shirt from mom and dad!
6. Keep the plastic zipper cases that the pillows sheets come in with. You can use them for storage for different items around your home.
7. We have chickens and bunnies at home and we feed the leftovers to our chickens and bunnies they love eat them.
8. Don’t throw away those cup holders that fast food restaurants give out. They work well when carrying out your drinks outside your patio.
9. Use cardboard toilet paper to keep ribbons and ropes untangled.
10. I use old tooth brushes to clean my tiles or my shoes.
11. You can wash and reuse picnic utensils.
12. Make children mittens, vest and beanies out old sweaters.
13. I use old envelope of mail for scratch paper.
14. I always keep my extra condiments from fast food restaurants.
15. Use thrifts store plates to give food to friends. You don’t have to worry to get your plates back.
16. Bakery boxes makes good food protection when you are at a picnic
17. Use old bed sheets as table clothes at picnics.
18. Baby food jars are great to store screws and nails in your garage.
19. Medicine bottles can be used to store needles, buttons.
