How to Make Homemade Pizza with Bread Machine

I wish I knew how many homemade pizzas I have made over the years. I have went through three bread machines and two Presto Pizza machines. The bread machine makes pizza making easy and the results is delicious. This recipe for Homemade Pizza with a Bread Machine will make two 12-inch pizzas. The toppings are whatever you imagination can dream up! Enjoy.

Ingredients for two pound pizza dough in bread machine:

1 ¼ to1 3/8 cups water

3 tablespoons olive oil or Canalo oil

¾ teaspoon salt

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoon active dry yeast

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, dried

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

All ingredients should be at room temperature.

Directions for making pizza dough in bread machine:

Step 1: Place ingredients in this order in bread machine; water, olive oil or Canola oil, salt, flour and yeast.

Step 2: Select the Dough setting on your bread machine.

Step 3: Press start on machine.

Step 4: When timer goes off, remove dough from machine.

Step 5: Divide the dough evenly into two pieces.

Step 6: Pat dough into 12 x 15-inch jelly roll pan or two 12-inch greased round pizza pans.

Step 7: Prick the pizza dough with a fork.

Step 8: Preheat oven to 400 degree.

Step 9: Spread pizza sauce over dough.

Step 10: Sprinkle topping of your choice over sauce.

Step 11: Bake 12 to 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.

If cooking on a pizza machine follow directions that come with the machine.

Pizza Topping Suggestions:

1 cup prepared pizza sauce

½ pound bulk sausage, browned and drained

1/3 cup onions, chopped

1-3 to 4 ounce pepperoni, sliced

1-4 ounce can mushrooms stems and pieces, drained

1 cup chopped green peppers

Tips:

Check dough after 3 or 4 minutes to see if you need to add more water, or sometimes a little more flour. It should be in a ball but not too dry or too sticky.
