Taking an  English vacation is an unique experience that we should try to do at least once in our lives.  England is steeped in history.  This country  is peppered with castles and other historical buildings  that  will take you back in time. Besides the  castles etc  the British countryside and coastal areas are breathtaking .   Eating  English  food is another enjoyable experience.  It  can  however,  prove to be expensive for the average tourist if they are not aware of how to eat cheaply on their English vacation..

Eat at the local bakeries to save money and eat cheaply in England.  These bakeries can be found in almost any  British town center or high street .  You can usually smell the aroma  of fresh English pies, pastries and sandwiches as you walk up to the store. The prices are cheap and the food is good .

Visit  English supermarket restaurants because  the food  served there is  inexpensive and usually of good quality.   While you are there  do some shopping for english  snack foods, and then stash them in your hotel so you can snack cheaply on your English Vacation

Visit the local British pubs that serve meals. These pub meals can be delicious and also easy on the wallet.  There is nothing  better than eating  a roast beef and yorkshire pudding dinner in a cosy English pub, while on vacation there.

The famous English fish and chips is one food you have to eat on an english vacation.  The cheapest way to enjoy this famous British food is to eat at a fish and chip shop many of the have take away and dine in options available.   If you are in a coastal area these fish shops are often  found on the sea front so you can dine while looking out at the sea. What a wonderful  memory this would be of your English vacation
