Introduction: While working at home has a number of great benefits there are an equal number of problems, one of the most prominent of these is boredom. There are a few simple tricks to overcome this and remain focused, but it needs to be remembered that conquering boredom is of itself a minor task that requires attention. The key is to spread the work out evenly and complete work related chores in small piece.

Step 1: A smart way to avoid the boredom of working from home is to set a work schedule and stick to it religiously. Get motivated and accomplish something even if it is only 45 minutes in duration to complete - it leaves more time for enjoyment later.

Step 2: Each scheduled work period show include as many diverse tasks as possible to avoid becoming bored. If your overall job entails 17 different tasks try to work a little on each aspect at each work setting.

Step 3: Take occasional breaks and move around - these don't have to be any longer than a few minutes and they get the blood flowing and redirect attentions for a short time.

Tips: Talk to someone either on the phone of in person for a few minutes once in a while. These brief conversations give you something to think about while performing repetitive tasks. Just remember to keep these interactions less than 5 minutes or you'll find they can seriously cut into work time.
