Grilled bananas make for a wonderful dessert and they are extremely easy to make.  You can also make these when you are out camping on the campfire.

The technique is just a bit a different from a grill to a camp fire.  You can leave the grill on after you cook your meat and turn it down to medium, or if you are just cooking this then place your grill on medium and let it heat up a bit. If you are cooking these over a campfire then you will need a camping cooking rack to place these on and you will likely only be able to do 3 at a time.

6 Bananas in the peel

1/2 cup chocolate chips

option 1/4 cup of chopped peanuts

Mearure about 1 inch down the banana and start to make a slit through the banana length wise.  Go to about 1 inch of the end of the banana.  Divide the chocolate chips in to 6 equal servings and place each serving in to one of each of the bananas.  Wrap the bananas up tightly in tin foil and Grill the bananas for about 10 to 12 minutes, with the chocolate chip side remaining up.  Keep an eye on them to make sure the foil is not burning, if it starts to burn lower the heat.

Carefully remove the foil and then the skins, cut in to slices if you like and sprinkle with peanuts if you are going with the peanut option.  You caould also just grab a fork and start eating the banana.  Top with whipped cream if you like.

If you are cooking the bananas over a campfire and utensils are limited then just open the foil at the top and pinch the banana a bit like you would a baked potatoe and eat the banana right out of the peel and the foil.
