How To Fix EXE Computer Errors

Invalid registry entries can affect your computer's performance. If you see an EXE error message on your display screen, you may have corrupt or missing files on your system. The best way to fix EXE computer errors is by using registry cleaning software that will repair and eliminate these types of errors. A good registry cleaner can help to restore your Windows registry and free up memory space.

Instructions

Step 1:

Troubleshoot your system to determine which applications or files are causing the errors. Press the “Start” button on your taskbar. Highlight and click on “Search” from the “Administrator” menu box. Select “All files and folders” and under “All or part of the file name” type “*.tmp” in the search box. Click the menu arrow and select “Local Hard Drives (C:) and press the “Search” button.

Step 2:

Wait until windows finishes searching for the files and then, delete the files that are displayed in the “Search Results” box. Delete all of the temporary files on your computer.

Step 3:

Run Windows “Cleanmgr.exe” tool. Press the “Start” button and select “Run” from the menu box. Type “cleanmgr” in the run command box. Then, click on the “OK” button. The tool will delete eliminate all unnecessary files that are stored on your hard drive.  

Step 4:

Use the “System File Checker” utility to scan your computer and locate any corrupt or missing files. Press the “Start” button and select “Run” from the menu box. Type “sfc/scannow” in the run command box. Press the “OK” button. If the utility finds any missing or corrupted files, you will have to use the utility on your Windows installation CD to replace the damaged or missing files on your computer.

Step 5:

Log on to the Internet and search for a good registry cleaning software. For instance, RegCure can fix “EXE” and various types of errors that is interfering with your computer's performance. Download the utility on your computer. Follow the installation instructions.

Step 6:

Run RegCure utility, so that it will scan your computer and fix the “EXE” errors. The utility will repair and optimize your Windows registry.

Tips

Reinstall software programs that are causing “EXE” errors on your computer. If you use programs, such as Microsoft Office, be sure to use the built-in feature that will repair any program related errors. Run the “Detect and Repair” tool that comes bundled with Microsoft Office to repair the software application.
