To erase the baseband and bootloader from your jailbroken Apple iPhone, use this method if you have 04.05.01_G, 04.05.02_G, 04.05.03_G, or 04.05.04_G baseband on the device. You will also need to use the ZiPhone software tool to help you remove the baseband from your phone. Then launch Apple iTunes and remove the bootloader from your phone.

Instructions

Step 1:

Open the Web browser on your computer and type the URL address, “download.ziphone.org/” in the search text box. Click the “Search button when you are done. Locate the “Download” button for the Windows version of ZiPhone. Click on it and install the software tool on your computer. After the download process is complete, use an unzipping tool to extract the file and then save it on your computer.

Step 2:

Plug the data cable that came with your Apple iPhone into an open USB port on your computer. Close Apple iTunes if the application automatically launches. Start the GUI. Next, click inside the check box for "iErase" and "Debug" to remove the baseband settings from your phone.

Step 3:

Remove and erase bootloader from your Apple iPhone. Launch Apple iTunes and select the “iPhone” option from “My Devices” to preview the information about your phone. Look for the “Restore to Factory Settings” option located near the middle of iTunes interface window. Click on it to remove bootloader and all of the contents that you have stored on the phone.

Step 4:

Wait until the restore process finishes updating your phone. It may take several minutes to complete, depending on the amount information that you have on your Apple iPhone. When the restore process is complete Apple iTunes will add all of your music files, software applications and standard Apple products back onto your phone.

Step 5:

Browse the left side of the Apple iTunes interface window. Look for the “iPhone” listing and then click on the "Eject" button.

Step 6:

Unplug the data cable to your Apple iPhone from the USB port on your computer when you are finished.
