How To Download Ringtones On Your Samsung Cell Phone

There are several websites on the Internet that you can use to download ringtones on your Samsung cell phone. Look for free ringtone service websites and you won't have to pay a fee for installing ringtones on your phone. After you have selected a ringtone for your Samsung cell phone, use Bluetooth on your computer to transfer the ringtone to your phone.

Instructions

Step 1:

Go online and look for free ringtones that are saved in file formats MP3, WMA, or OGG. Make certain that they are no larger than 300 kilobytes in size. Follow the website's instructions on how to select a ringtone. Then, choose the model of your Samsung cell phone from the menu list.

Step 2:

Click on the art image or text hyperlink for the ringtone that you want to install on your phone. Click the “Download” button. Wait until the pop up box appears on your desktop. Click the “Save” button to download the ringtone on your computer.

Step 3:

Use a Bluetooth connection on your computer to transfer the ringtone to your Samsung cell phone. Activate Bluetooth on your computer and cell phone. Make certain that your cell phone is within range and less than 30 feet away from your computer. Enter a 4 or 6-digit pass code on your computer. Bluetooth will search for your Samsung cell phone and prompt you to enter a pass code. Enter the same 4 or 6-digit pass code that you used on your computer to pair both devices.

Step 4:

Locate file path where you saved the ringtone on your computer. Transfer the ringtone to your Samsung cell phone. Wait until you hear an alert sound on your cell phone indicating that the transfer was successful.

Step 5:

Use the sound recorder on your Samsung cell phone to make a ringtone. This step can used to make a free custom ringtone using the sound recorder, or voice memo on your cell phone.   

Step 6:

Place your Samsung cell phone near your computer's speakers. Open the music player on your computer. Locate a song that you want to hear. Press the “Record” button on your cell phone, and then press the “Play” button on the music player to begin playing the song.

Step 7:

Use the features on your cell phone to make the recorded song into a ringtone. You may need to consult the user's manual that came with your Samsung cell phone model to learn which features to use to make a recorded sound into a ringtone.
