I have long been an advocate of both trail running and cycling. I know that both of these are used for triathlons. However, some individuals would prefer one over the other. It is recommended that you bike 90 minutes to 2 hours per session. Cycling works your quads, calves and lower back.Ā Cycling is more expensive than trail running. You need a good bike, helmet and cycling shoes. At times you will also spend money on repairs. Similar to trail running, cycling is great for your cardiovascular system.Ā I have discovered that cycling is a great way to bond a relationship with another person. Cycling has let me become very close with my grandchildren. Just like trail running, there are many cycling clubs. This is a great way develop new friends.Ā Both Trail running and cycling have several things in common. First, both of them are a great way to appreciate nature. Second, it is great for socializing with other athletes. Third, you can become addicted to a fitness sport that you enjoy.
