Introduction:¬† This recipe is easy to follow and is made much like a cake. You will love the butter-pecan flavor of this great¬†quick bread. It makes a great snack or serve it for breakfast.¬†Butter Pecan Bread is good any time of the year and makes a great gift on holidays.¬†You can use regular loaf pans, mini loaf pans or muffin pans.¬† Enjoy!!
You Will Need:
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1-slightly beaten egg
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine - melted
1¬†greased 91/2-inch loaf pan
Step 1.¬† Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in sugar and nuts.
Step 2.¬†¬†Combine egg, buttermilk and butter together. Add to flour mixture, stirring just til moistened.
Step 3.¬† Preheat oven to 350 degrees.¬†Pour batter into pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to cooling rack. Cool slightly before removing from the pan. Cool completely.¬†
Tips:¬† ¬†Store bread in a plastic bag in refrigerator. Mini loaf pans require less baking time.
Warning:¬† Always use oven mitts to remove hot pan from the oven.
