IMG_by Hellosputnik Well he won't be necessarily ugly but certainly sickly looking, if not sick period. It's easy since we love to cut out different faces in our Pumpkins.  He's had a little too much of something.  He's about the easiest one to make as a novelty and certainly, you need only one of him.  You can do him more than one way, the first which is more fun......

What you will need:  Large Pumpkin, Sharp Cutting Knife, Candy Corn, Peanuts, Wax Paper

1.)  CUTTING YOUR FACE:

This Jack-O-Lantern will have a real expression, not just the spacy teeth we are used to carving in.  He has had too much of something.  Shape his eyes as expressive as you like, either big and round or slits because he is not feeling well.

2.)  AFTER CUTTING HIS FACE:

Rinse Jack out thoroughly with cold water after scooping all the seeds and flesh from the pumpkin.  Put the seeds aside to seave out later for pumpkin seeds.  After you have washed him out completely, begin to dry the insides out as thoroughly as you can and let him sit for a while.  He will not get completely dry but he will get moist.

3.)  MAKING HIM SICK:

Take a nice size of wax paper and sit inside of his mouth.  This is to place the candy inside and to make a trail of it coming out.  The wax paper should only show a little on the surface so that none of the candy and peanuts get wet.  Let as much candy and peanuts flow from the mouth as possible.  Ugh.  Now you have your up-chucking Jack-O-Lantern.  Kind of gross but I saw one last year and it was actually kind of cute in a hair-raising sort of way!

Now to make him out and out gross, you will need:

Pumpkin, Sharp Cutting Knife, paper for padding the wet area

You can gut this pumpkin out completely or partially.  You can take the top off or leave him in tact.  But you will carve out the appropriate face for a Pumpkin that has had too much to eat or drink and pull out the seeds and innards as if he's letting loose. Pad the areas with paper where the gook is!  There was one at the MCA that I worked one Halloween Season and it was really gross/cool.
