Paper craft projects are a way for young children to show their expression. As a craft project for young children you can make a crayon box from paper. The best type of paper to use with young children is a construction paper. This type of paper comes in various colors which allows you to differentiate all the crayon boxes that you need to make for each child. Things You'll Need - Plastic sandwich bag box, Ruler, Construction paper, Pencil, Scissors, Masking tape Step 1 Measure the width, depth and height of the plastic sandwich bag box with the ruler. Make a note of the measurements on a piece of paper. Step 2 Measure a sheet of construction paper to the width and height measurements in step 1. Cut two pieces of paper matching these measurements with the scissors. Step 3 Measure a second sheet of construction paper to the depth and height measurements in step 1. Cut two pieces matching these measurements. Step 4 Measure and cut a piece of construction paper that match the depth and width measurements in step 1. Step 5 Place strips of the masking tape on the edges of the piece of construction paper in step 4. Make sure the adhesive side of the tape is facing up. Step 6 Set the sandwich bag box on the construction paper. Place the pieces of construction paper that you cut in steps 2 and 3 onto the edges of the masking tape. Step 7 Fold the pieces of construction paper up onto the sides of the sandwich box. Secure the corners of your paper crayon box with strips of the masking tape. Remove the sandwich box from the paper.
