Grill Burgers

Don't you just love knowing the neighbors are jealous of the fabulous grilling aromas that come from your backyard? Well, be a good neighbor and invite them over for some of the juiciest burgers they'll ever eat. Then, next time you fire up the grill, they'll be really jealous because they'll know, first hand, what a grillmeister you are!

Things You'll Need:

1/4 cup minced dried onions

1 beef or vegetable bouillon cube

1 - 2 pounds ground beef 2 tablespoons Worcester sauce

2 tablespoons powdered steak seasoning

1 (generous) tablespoon prepared Horseradish

STEP 1

Put the onions and the bouillon cube in a small bowl with one cup of water and heat in the microwave until water boils (about 1 minute). Stir mixture and allow to cool to room temperature.

STEP 2

Grill Burgers

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, the cooled bouillon mixture, and the remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly, but be careful not to overwork the meat. Allow to rest, refrigerated, at least 30 minutes and up to an hour.

STEP 3

Grill Burgers

Meanwhile, prepare the grill.

STEP 4

Grill Burgers

Form the hamburger mixture into patties. You know what you like. Keep in mind that the additional liquid content will cause the hamburger patties to shrink a bit more than you may be used to.

STEP 5

Grill Burgers

Grill the burgers on a hot grill until done to your liking. The actual time will depend on the grill temperature, and the thickness of the burgers. Use a meat thermometer, if you wish. (Internal temperature of the hamburger should be at least 160 degrees.)

STEP 6

Grill Burgers

Serve the burgers with your favorite condiments, on fresh buns. Enjoy!

TIPS & WARNINGS

As an alternative to the bouillon cube, you may use your own beef or vegetable stock. Do heat the stock, though, as it helps reconstitute the dried onions.
