Fold a Towel Origami Blouse

Intro: This towel origami design was inspired by a picture I saw of a towel folded to look like a folded shirt. I elaborated on it slightly by adding the rolled sleeves.Ā  It's a good companion to the towel origami shirt which uses a dollar bill origami pattern. A nice thing about this towel origami pattern is that it can be folded ahead of time, and stacked, which is nice if you need to clean several rooms quickly, but still want to leave some towel art.

Instructions

Things You'll Need : 1 bath towel

Ā

1

Fold over one long edge of the towel to the center line.

2

Fold the other edge over just overlapping the other edge of the towel. This forms the opening of the shirt.

3

Fold the towel again into thirds accordion style. The picture shows a side view so you can see the fold.

4

Flip up the upper layers to get them out of the way.

5

Fold out a sleeve like this from the bottom fold.

6

Fold out a sleeve on the other side the same way.

7

Flip up the top folds to get them out of the way, then fold the sleeve cuffs. Keep the folds on the outer edges neat, but don't worry too much about the middle. It can be messy because it won't show.

8

Fold the top layers back down.

9

Flip the collar back and add something to mimic buttons on the shirt opening.
