How to Make a Towel Origami Person

Make a little person from a hand towel and a bath towel with these instructions. Leave it somewhere to surprise someone like housekeeping does on cruise ships, and in resort hotels .

Take the bath towel and roll the short edges toward he center. Leave a small gap in the center.

Flip the double rolled towel over so the rolls are on the bottom.

Flip the top third of the rolled towel down over the middle third. Spread apart the rolls to form arms. The towel connecting the rolls forms a shirt. If you like you can roll up the bottom a bit to make the feet stick out more.

To make a simple head fold a hand towel in thirds along the long direction of the towel.

Then roll the folded hand towel into a cylinder.

Add the hand towel head to the bath towel body, then add something to create a face. Here I've used sun glasses, but flowers or scraps of paper would work as well. In a hotel it would probably look funny to prop this character up on a pillow facing the TV, and leave a remote in it's hand.
