Disc changers, installed inside a vehicle, are available from manufacturers, such as Sony which makes the CDX-626. When the unit is not functioning correctly you will need to correct the problem. Two common problems with this unit is moisture condensation on the lens and discs that skip and do not play correctly.

Moisture Condensation

Step 1: Remove the front panel from the unit.

Step 2: Take out the disc magazine and wait at least an hour for any condensation in the unit to evaporate.

Step 3: Place the magazine back in the unit and set the front panel back in place.

Step 4: Examine the lens to verify that there is no moisture condensation on the lens.

Disk Does Not Play Correctly

Step 1: Take the front panel off of the unit and then take out the disc magazine.

Step 2: Remove the problem disc from the magazine by handling it by its edgers. Examine the disc and see if it is dirty.

Step 3: Wipe the disc with a cleaning cloth to remove and dirt or dust that is present.

Step 4: Place the disc back in the magazine. Insert the magazine back into the unit and set the front cover back in place.

Tips

Discs should be wiped with the cleaning cloth in the same direction.

Warnings

Tape or adhesive residue that is on the disc label may prevent the disc from playing in the unit.
