Intro: This is my variation on a popular towel folding technique. You can leave this dog on a bed for a guest to find. If you work in a resort hotel, or on a cruise ship, you can leave these in the rooms or cabins.  This dog is made from one bath towel, shown in blue, and one hand towel, shown in red. Eyes, and  a nose can be made from just about anything. Here they are made from punched paper, and a small coin.

Step 1: Lay out your bath towel on a flat surface. This will become the towel dog's body.

Step 2: Roll the short edges of the bath towel toward the center until the two rolls meet.  You should end up with something that looks like an ancient scroll.

Step 3: Fold the double rolled bath in half bringing the ends together. The connecting part of the rolls should be on the inside.

Step 4: Spread apart the lower rolls to form the back legs.

Step 5: Tuck the end of the lower roll under so it looks like the end of the bottom roll is standing on the ground.  This forms the back legs.

Step 6: Lay out your hand towel. This will become the towel dog's head.

Step 7: Fold the hand towel in thirds along the length of the towel.

Step 8: Fold over one end of the folded hand towel at a 45 degree angle and pull out the corners.  The corners will form the dogs ears.

Step 9: Roll the rest of the hand towel folded in thirds around the angled fold to form the head.

Step 10: Place objects to form the eyes and nose.
