Playing the Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox Zen NX, on a Windows Vista machine, will require you to install the latest drivers for the device. Newer drivers will be needed because the device was designed for an older version of Windows. This means that the installation disc that came with the Zen NX will not work with Windows Vista. The latest drivers for the device are available from Creative Labs.

Verify Zen Model

Step 1: Turn the Zen NX over and look at the back.

Step 3: Find the location for “Model No.”

Step 3: Verify that the model number is “DAP-HD0009.” This is the model number for the Nomad Jukebox Zen NX.

Download Software Driver

Step 1: Go to the Select Your Product web page for Creative Worldwide Support.

Step 2: Click “Zen” in the first column. Highlight “Zen NX” under “Archived Products” in the third column. Click the “Next” button to continue.

Step 3: Click the “Download” link for the Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver 2.01.00 update.

Step 4: Click the “Agree” link at the bottom of the Terms of Agreement.

Step 5: Click the “Save File” button and save the file to your desktop.

Install Software Driver

Step 1: Double-click the “JB3MV2_PCWdrv_us_2_01_00.EXE” file to run the set up.

Step 2: Click the “Yes” button to begin the installation.

Step 3: Follow the instructions on the screen to install the software update.

Tips

Connect the Zen to Windows Vista with the USB connector cable.
