Occasionally I have reason to copy and paste all or a portion of one of the articles I have written from the “my articles” tab of fireHow. After attempting to right click to copy and paste several times only to get this error message “currently not supported by your browser, use keyboard shortcuts instead” I had to figure out how to do that or change my browser. If you have had these same issues read on.

Step 1 Open the article you want to copy under “my articles” tab.

Step 2 Highlight the text in the body of the article you want to copy by holding the left button of the mouse down at the beginning of the text and drag it to the end of the text you want to copy. Note: Areas outside of the article body can be copied and pasted with a right click of the mouse.

Step 3 Press the Ctrl + C keys simultaneously to copy the text you highlighted.

Step 4 Open the program you want to paste the text into, in this case we will use Microsoft® Word. Left click the mouse to place the curse on the page where you want to paste the text, right click the mouse and click “Paste”.

Step 5 Save the document you just pasted and you are done.

Tip: For a complete list of Microsoft shortcut keys click here.
