How to make Swedish meatballs

Are you a fan of a homemade hearty meal that's just full of taste. Well here's one for you.Ā Of course, you have your traditional Italian spaghetti and meatballs, but Swedish meatballs are sweet,hearty and overlooked by many consumers. Give it a try and see what you could be missing.

Things you need.

1 egg

1/4 cup milk ( for starting sauce )

1cup bread crumbs

3/4 cup diced yellow onion

1/8 tsp. nutmeg

1lbs. ground beef

1tbls butter

2tbls flour

3tsp. beef bullion granules

2Ā cups milkĀ ( for finishing sauce )

4 cups egg noodles

1.Ā  In mixing bowl mix 1/4 cup milk, 1egg, bread crumbs, onion, 1/2tsp. pepper andĀ 1/8 tsp. nutmeg. Add ground beef and mix well. Form into meatballs of desired size.

2.Ā Ā In large skillet melt butter and coat the skillet. Cook meatballs on medium heat for about twelve minutes or until golden brown and cooked fully through. Keep the juices in the skillet.

3.Ā  Stir flour, bullion andĀ 1/8 tsp.pepperĀ into the drippings left in the skillet. Gradually add 2 cups of milk while cooking over medium heat. Heat sauce until thickened to your desire. Put the meatballs back into the sauce and heat through. Add egg noodles or noodles of your choice and serve.

Tips

Be sure you constantly stir your sauce to avoid it sticking to the pan.
