Recipe for Delicious and Decadent Texas Sheet Cake!

Texas sheet cake is one of the best tasting cakes in the world. Many people prefer to shy away from making this cake because, in order for it to taste right and be made the correct way, you have to follow quite a few steps.  Here you are going to learn the steps it takes to make an amazing Texas sheet cake, that in my opinion, is not as hard as making other versions.

To start out, combine and bring to a boil, 2 sticks of margarine, 1 cup of water and 1 square of chocolate.

Add in 2 cups flour that has been previously sifted, 2 cups sugar, and 1/2 tsp. of salt.  Mix those ingredients with the previous one mentioned. Mix them very well, then remove from the heat.

Next, you will need to ass 1/2 pint of sour cream, two eggs, and tsp. of baking soda. Make sure that this is mixed well with all ingredients.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and then pour into a prepared greased and floured pan.  Bake for 20-25 minutes.  Let the cake rest for atleast five minutes, then ice with the following recipe.

Incing:

Mix and bring to a boil, 1 stick of butter, 1 square of chocolate, and 6 tbsp milk.

Add one box of sifted powdered sugar, 1 tsp, vanilla and 1 cup chopped nuts. The nuts are optional.

This is a very easy way to make a Texas sheet cake.  It does require a few steps, but the entire process goes by very quickly. Make sure to sift the flour and the powdered sugar before getting started on any other ingredients so they will be ready to be used when needed. Once the cake it iced you can then serve to your guests and enjoy as well.
