Introduction: Sock-it to-your-family with this Sock-It-To-Me cake recipe. Everyone will enjoy this tasty cake and it is so easy to make. From time to time, we all like to bake a new cake we have'nt tried before. If you've never had this cake before, your in for a treat. I like to make this cake from scratch, but for all you busy folks, I've written this recipe the simple and easy way. Enjoy!! You Will Need For The Cake: 1 box butter recipe yellow cake mix 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 4 eggs Mixer, large mixing bowl, a greased and floured bundt pan and a serving platter Step 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix and blend together all cake ingredients. Beat at high speed for 2 minutes. Pour 1/2 of the batter into bundt pan.
You Will Need For Filling: 1 cup chopped pecans 2 tablespoons brown sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon A small bowl Step 2. In bowl, combine filling ingredients. Sprinkle over batter in the pan. Pour remaining cake batter over filling. Step 3. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until cake springs back when touched lightly. Cool right side up for 25 minutes. Invert pan and remove cake to serving platter.
You Will Need For Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar 2 tablespoons milk Small bowl Step 4. Mix sugar and milk, stirring until no lumps of sugar remain. Drizzle glaze over cooled cake. Tip: You can also insert a toothpick into center of cake, if it comes out clean, cake is done. Warnings: Do not overbake, cakes cooked too long will be dry. Do not press filling mixture into the batter, just sprinkle it over the batter and it will take care of it's self.
