apricots My father loves apricots, it does not matter if there are dried or fresh he loves them. Apricots are high on vitamin C and have prevention properties of the cancer. The apricot is a stone fruit with a seed nut within it. Its shape is similar to that of the peach but slightly smaller, with skin that is soft and golden orange in color.

Dried apricots have less potential of vitamin C but contain high levels of iron and magnesium. Also dried apricots have higher calories then those that are fresh.  

The apricot is a gentle laxative and is effective in the treatment of constipation.  The insoluble cellulose acts as fiber which helps the bowel movement.  Juice made out of fresh apricots is good for people who are down with fever.

Packed with minerals, vitamins, water and healthy calories, the juice are the perfect antidote for sickness. The components in apricots helps remove toxic substance from the body by flushing out toxins. Here a great way to eat you apricots…

Yummy Apricot Dessert

1 quart apricot nectar 2 packages apricot flavored gelatin mix 1 pint sour cream 1 (can apricot halves, drained and chopped 1 tub frozen whipped topping, thawed

Pour the apricot nectar into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in gelatin mix until completely dissolved. Mix in sour cream until smooth. Pour into a serving bowl, and stir in the apricots. Chill until set, about 3 hours.

Top with whipped topping just before serving and enjoy!
