Sometimes you hear people say they are not doing anything for Christmas because they don’t have kids or there kids are all grown and far away. Christmas can still be joyful even without children.

Decorate ChristmasDecorate if you enjoy it. Some people like to decorate and others hate to decorate. It is up to you. You can do what you enjoy.

Get involved with the Church. Churches have many great Christmas programs. If you have the time you can volunteer to help as well with the local program. Or plan to see the Christmas program.

Love to shop? Volunteer to help shop for families who can’t afford gifts for their children. Or volunteer to help pick up items for people who have a hard time getting up and out.

Visit Family. You don’t have to have gifts. Just surprise the family members with a nice Christmas visit. They would love to see you, especially if they live far away.

Visit the Children Hospital. These children would love a visit. It will not only warm your heart but it lifts the children’s spirits and helps them to feel a little better.

Have a Christmas party. Invite your friends and other people who may be lonely at Christmas. No gifts needed. Just get together and have fun.

Christmas can feel just like any other day, only if you let it. Get involved and enjoy yourself. Christmas is much more then gifts, it is about love, kindness, and most importantly about Jesus Christ.

Very good suggestions. I sure do like having my grandsons over though.
