How to Avoid Auto-Installed Computer Viruses

Computer viruses are made out of different forms with different ways to spoil your day. In order to minimize virus attack of your PC, the following simple guidelines are very helpful to lessen the chances of being attacked unknowingly.

 

 

1. Download which antivirus application you prefer and install it right away.

2. After installation, you must restart your PC and give your whole computer a complete scan. This way, your computer will be cleaned from viruses and malwares.

3. After complete scan, restart again your PC.

4. You may now access your user account by clicking Start, Control Panel and User Accounts

5. If you still have no limited account set up, make one.

6. After limited account creation, make sure you have disallowed installations when using this account.

7. Every time you go online, it is wiser to surf using a limited account. This ensures that no unattended or unknown malicious application being installed while surfing. This is especially useful when surfing unfamiliar sites.

8. When you will only be surfing one or two sites which is very known to be your trusted sites, you may use your administrative account safely, but still be cautious and aware.

9. Every time you are finish surfing the net, make it a habit to scan your entire computer system

10. Ensure that you auto-enable your antivirus application, so all threats will be monitored and prevented.

I'm so glad I have a Mac! Viruses are so much less of a worry.
