Do you ever wonder sometimes how far you have walked? Or asked yourself how far your house from the office is? Or the bus stops to your house. When the doctor advises you to walk at least 30 minutes a day, do you ask yourself how many feet/meters do you have to walk? Well there is a way where you can compute the distance that you have walked. Using your normal pace, you can determine the approximate distance of a certain Point A to Point B. Instructions: 1. You will need a meter tape, chalk, pencil, paper, and look for a straight road. 2. Measure at least 500meters. Make sure to mark both the end points. Use the chalk to mark the points. 3. Walk straightly toward the other end point. Make sure to walk your normal walk. Don’t walk too fast or too slow. Just walk in you normal pace. 4. While walking count how many steps did it take you to get to the other end. Take note of this. Do this 5 times, recording each number of steps upon reaching each ends. 5. Sum the number of steps on each set and divide them by 5. And then divide 500meters to the average number of steps. This now will be your own unique Pace Factor. 6. How to use this, when you walk from your house to a store just count the number of steps and then multiply this to your Pace Factor. The computed number will be the approximate distance from your house to the store.
