How to Make More Space on Your Computer Hard-Drive

Computer is now an essential part of our lives. Every work we do depends on it. Unfortunately, because of this, sometimes we pressurize the computer to take up more data than it can possibly store. Unfortunately, this actually slows down its system, making our own work difficult and even annoying. However, this problem can easily be solved if we take up some precautions. Read the steps given here to understand how.

Step 1: Download larger documents and pictures to your USB flash drives instead of the main computer drive. This is, by far, the best precaution you can take to maintain space on your computer.

Pictures are notorious for taking up more space and making the computer slow. Same can be told for other larger files. If you cannot afford a flash drive then always keep an email account where you can store these files. For this, Gmail is the best because it offers more space.

Step 2: Do not download wallpapers to your computer. This is linked to pictures being too much on the hard drive. Instead use the wallpapers that already come with your Operating system.

Step 3: Make an effort to do the disk clean up once a week. For this, all you need to do is click on the start button and type in the search bar “disk cleanup”.

As soon as you will hit the enter button, the disk cleanup window will pop up to scan your system for possible unwanted files. Then a next small window will pop to show you the result and folders where the files are.

Here, simply check the downloaded program files, temporary internet files, recycle bin and temporary files. Last, click OK. Another window will pop up to ask you whether you wish to delete the files. Simply click yes and your disk will be free of some space.
