Ever wonder how to use up all those tomatoes you get out of your garden or just want to make a fresh homemade meal for your family? Here is a great recipe for spaghetti sauce that is great and easy to make. My sister makes this for her resturant and gave me this recipe a couple of years ago. In the summer when I have alot of tomatoes from the garden I like to make this.

YOU WILL NEED:

tomatoes

olive oil

onions

garlic

salt

pepper

basil

oregano

paprika

1. Put 1/2 cup olive oil in large pot. Cut enough tomatoes to fill the pot,  Cut tomatoes in four. Add 2 chopped onions ,1 garlic clove, 1tsp oregano, 1 tsp. basil, 1tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper. Bring pot of ingredients to a boil and cook for 2-3 hours. Let your sauce cool.

2. After sauce is cool put in blender or food processor and puree. When you are done blending all the sauce put back in the pot and cook until thickness you want. It will cook down by 1/2 to 3/4 or so. A full pot of fresh tomatoes will cook down to about 1/2 pot of spaghetti sauce.

3.Add more oregano, basil and any other spices to your taste. Serve. All remaining sauce you can put in freezer bag and frozen for up to six months. Just take out heat and serve.
