There are several ways to make a timeline. One of those ways is to make a timeline notebook. A timeline notebook is a timeline in book form that the child can just keep adding to as they learn about different times in history. This timeline notebook is a simple one made with a 3-ring binder. There are other ways to make a timeline, such as hanging the pictures up on the wall, but I find the timeline notebook the easiest and most practical way to make a timeline. Step 1: Print out the pages for the timeline notebook. Here is a good site to get them from: http://www.guesthollow.com/homeschool/history/timeline.html Step 2: Three- hole punch the pages and insert in your binder. Step 3: As you study history with your children or students, print out small pictures of the event or person that you are studying about. Use colored pencils to color in the pictures and then cut them out.
