Everyone knows that smoking is bad for your health! The Surgeon Generals warning has been on cigarette packaging for years.¬† Society has made it difficult to smoke, and non smokers are not as open to being around people who do smoke.¬† The more amazing thing is that people are still STARTING to smoke, while others are trying to break their habit, and KNOW how difficult it is to break.¬† Here are some points to consider using electronic cigarettes as a way to be successful.
Step 1:¬† You must first acknowledging the addiction that nicotine has on you. Nicotine causes a chemical called dopamine to be released in the brain that provides a feeling of pleasure.¬†
Step 2:¬† Visit your doctor for a physical to see what damage the tar in cigarettes may have already caused in your body. Within thirty days of eliminating smoking, people have begun to have some positive effects on their health. ¬†Tar in cigarettes damages the cilia in the lungs and can cause lung diseases such as emphysema, bronchitis and lung cancer.¬† Add to that the added problems it causes for your heart and there are good reasons to stop smoking.
Step 3:¬† Consider an electronic cigarette, which has no tar, therefore no tar residue is left behind to increase the potential for health related problems.¬† The smoke produced actually results from water vapor produced from the cartridge.¬† The cartridges come in levels of high, medium or low levels of nicotine; therefore allowing the smokeless smoker to still have the pleasurable feeling that they seek, without the negatives of the tar.
Step 4: Begin with a high, medium or low level nicotine cartridge.¬† You can reduce the amount of nicotine in subsequent cartridges.¬† There also is a zero level of nicotine cartridge, which therefore can enable someone to stop smoking as they reduce the amount of nicotine in their cartridge and ‚Äėstep down‚Äô their addiction to nicotine at the same time.
Step 5: Wanting to break the nicotine feeling of euphoria is personal.¬† Wanting to give yourself an opportunity for a healthier life, without the negative influence tar has, is personal as well.¬† Some personal choices that affect your family, co-workers and everyone around you, just make good sense.
Step 6: Locating information on electronic cigarettes can be found by doing an internet search for electronic cigarette, e-cigarette, electronic smoking, smokeless cigarettes.¬† These products in many cases have recommendations from the American Medical Association, and information from the Surgeon General‚Äôs Office.
