How to Pick Movies to Watch on TV Using IMDB

movie reel Use IMDb to pick movies to watch on TV. The Internet Movie Database, more commonly known as IMDb, is a Web site full of information about movies, TV, movie and TV news, and videos.

If you want to watch a specific movie on television but aren't in a hurry and you don't know when it will be aired next, using IMDb is a great solution to find it.

Step 1:

Go to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) Web site at www.imdb.com.

Step 2:

Locate the search bar. On the IMDb home page, it is at the top center of the page.

Step 3:

Choose the area you will search. Either leave the default to 'All,' or IMDb has the following search category options:

- Titles

- TV Episodes

- My Movies

- Names

- Companies, Keywords

- Characters

- Videos

- Quotes

- Bio

- Plots

- Advanced Search.

Step 4:

Type the search term in the search bar. For example, if you want to find the movie The Wizard of Oz, type it in the search bar. Hit 'Go' to search.

Step 5:

Review the list of options. Select the movie title by clicking on it. This takes you to the IMDb page for the movie.

Step 6:

Skim the page till you find the option called "US TV Schedule." This will tell when the next time the movie will be aired on TV in the U.S., the time, and the TV channel.

Jot down the information on your calender to ensure you remember to watch the movie you found on IMDb.
