Introduction: To install a car rearview mirror is a very simple task that can be completed in about 15 minutes, and best of all it requires no mechanical skill whatsoever.

Step 1: In order to install a car rearviewĀ  mirror the old one has to be removed, this can be accomplished by gently prying away the old mirror at the base.

Step 2: After the old rearview mirror has been removed, you need to scrape away any old adhesive so that the new mirror will adhere properly.

Step 3: Go to your local auto parts store and purchase a rearview mirror installation kit - it will contain the proper adhesive to install a car rearview mirror.

Step 4: Place a small dab of adhesive on the spot where the new rearview mirror will be positioned,Ā  press the base of the rearview mirror against the windshield and hold it for a minute to allow it to bond and then take a break.

Step 5: Wait about 45 to 60 minutes, and your installation of a car's rearview mirror is complete.

Tips: When you install a car rearview mirror make certain to get the right adhesive for the job.

Warnings: Be careful not to get the rearview adhesive on the car's dashboard - it can be tough to remove.
