How to Sign Up for a Money Checking Account Online

It is possible to sign up for just about any form of financial accounts online, including a checking account. If you currently have a savings account through a particular bank it is possible to log onto your account online and request to sign up for a checking account. The process only takes a few minutes of your time and then in a few days you'll receive your first box of checks and a debit card.

Log onto your banking account online. If you do not yet have an online account through the company (but have a savings account) select the "Register" option, then fill in all the required information (such as address, Social Security number and email account). Set up a username and password to use on future login occasions.

Click the "Accounts" information once you log in and your savings account is listed. Choose to open a "New Account."
