It is possible to hook up just about anything to your car's speaker stereo system. This includes a television, if the stereo has the correct connection port. With a television connected to the speaker system system you can entertain passengers in the vehicle or watch television while you are at a pit stop. You can even watch movies if the television has a DVD or VCR connected to it.

Look at your stereo system's control panel and check for an "Aux" port. This port looks just like the headphone jack on your MP3 player. If the stereo system does not have such a port you cannot connect the television to the car speakers.

Plug the red and white RCA cables into the "Audio Out" ports on the back or the television.

Insert the 3.-mm end of the RCA cable into the "Aux" port on the stereo system. You can purchase this cable at most electronic stores.

Power on the television and the stereo system, then set the stereo system to "Aux." You can now hear your television content through the entire car speaker system.
