It's possible to clean hard paint brushes that dried with paint left in them. Maybe you forgot to clean the paint brush or when you cleaned the paint brush, you didn't get all of the paint out and now the paint brush is hard and inflexible. No fear! Here's how to revive a hard paint brush.

Things You Will Need

old bowl

Step 1:

Heat vinegar in an old bowl in the microwave or heat in a pan on the stove then pour the hot vinegar in an old bowl.

Step 2:

Place the hard paint brush in the hot vinegar. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 3:

Wash the paintbrush in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and let dry by setting the paint brush on a flat surface.
