 First you need to travel to upstate New York to Alexandria bay. The lake of the Isles is a short boat trip across from Alex bay. You will find that

  Lake of the Isles St. Lawrence River has outstanding bass fishing for locals and traveling bass fishinermen. You should fish the large beds of lily pads and weed banks. The area is out of the strong winds that blow up the waves and make it tough to fish for bass. Move along  the shoreline areas there are many down trees and tree limbs, which creates great fishing for catching largemouth bass.

 You need to make sure that you know when the season starts around June 21st.
Many anglers like the Lake of the Isles for its excellent year round fishing for pike and various pan fish. If you don't have a boat many of the local marina's will rent out fishing boats.

 You can find the lake by boating around Wesley island and boating south east up the river. If you not familiar with the river just ask around at the boat docks and they will show you the way.

  Make sure if you are going to fish the lake of the Isles that you try and fish on week days. The weekend boater and party boats are out in full force on the weekends. You want to bass fish when things are calm and the bass aren’t hiding from all the boat traffic.

  You can fish for smallmouth bass, bluegill, northern pike, pan fish and yellow perch all in this area. You will find that the Lake of the Isles has large populations of all these game fish which are fun to catch. If you do some research you will find that the Lake of the Isles and the St. Lawrence River holds the largemouth bass record.
