We all like a great yard and plenty of lush plant's certainly add to the beauty of our own little spot of land.

When you are ready to get the yard in shape, here are a few tips that will insure the new plants will grow healthy and strong.

1. Selecting plants that are native to your area is very important. And finding those plants that are specific for the climate, whether sun or shade or moist or dry soil will make a big difference in how well they will thrive.

2. add compost to your soil. This will provide your plants with nutrients and in dryer regions will help the soil hold water longer.

3. Group plants with similar water, sun and shade requirements together.

4. Use mulch on the surface of the soil. This will limit weed growth and and temperature changes in the soil that could cause root damage. It also reduces water evaporation.

Well, These 4 easy tips will certainly provide for great plants so now go get your shovel out and start planting
