A texturizer is basically a mild relaxer used to loosen the curl pattern of your hair. If used incorrectly, you will end up giving yourself a perm instead of loosening your curls. You may also experience hair loss, chemical burning, and permanent balding. Knowing this, it is vital to use the product correctly. 1.) Remove the instructions from your texturizer kit. Read it fully to make sure that you understand the process entirely. Pay close attention to how long you will need to leave on the product according to your hair type. 2.) Remove the remaining products. 3.) Part your hair into four sections and apply some vaseline into the parts and the scalp of those sections. Also remember to put Vaseline around the perimeter of your head including your neck, forehead, and ear area. 4. Take out the texturizer and the activator. Pour the activator into the texturizer cream and mix them together to make a very thick cream. 5.) Set your timer to the recommended amount of time for your timer and turn it on. Do not turn on your timer after applying the texturizer. 6.) Apply the texturizer to your hair. Start from the nape of the neck in one section. Then continue applying to the rest of the other four sections. Remember to put the texturizing cream on your edges last since your edges is the weakest part of your hair. 7.) Continue to smooth in the texturizer into your hair until the time has elapsed. 8.) When time has elapsed, wash out the texturizer with the given shampoo. If the shampoo suds remain pink, there is still left over texturizer in your hair. Rinse until the suds become clear. 9.) Condition your hair with the given conditioner for about 5-10 minutes. The conditioner will help to soften the hair. 10.) Rinse out the conditioner and either air dry or blow dry your hair. 11.) Style. Read More: http://www.ehow.com/how_6194045_apply-texturizer.html
