Razor burn can be painful and embarrassing. Dull razors can leave you with a painfully swollen face. Here are a few tips for eliminating razor burn that really work!
Step#1
Use a sharp razor. There is nothing that will give you a worse case of razor burn than a dull razor. Make sure you change your blades on a regular basis.Ā
Step#2
Wash your face with a microbead face wash. This is sort of a hidden secret when it comes to preventing razor burn. TheseĀ face washes are normally for acne and pore cleaning but the microbeads do a great job for removing dead skin that get caught in your razor. When you cut this dead skin off it goes deeper into your skin causing painful razor burn.
Step#3
If you have a thick beard or stubble, put a littleĀ hair conditioner on your facial hair while your in the shower. This will help soften the hair for a smoother cut when it comes time to shave.
Step#4Ā
Shave with the grain of your hair. I know this isn't as effective as the opposite, but it will help prevent razor burn.
Step#5
Wash your face withĀ cold water. This will help close your pores and just feels refreshing in general. Follow it up with a men's moisturizer and your ready to go.
