HOW TO GIVE YOURSELF A PAINLESS, PRETTY ARCH

eyebrows Well we know that everything is wax-able now and the eyebrow is no different.  The waxed off eyebrow dates back many, many years so it's nothing new.  And for the most part it's - well just plain painful.

Women of today endure it - some out of the trend factor of  it and others, such as sister who was the first person I saw my other sister who was a beautician do it for.  My sister knew the value of plucking but she had very thick eyebrows and I think that she simply didn't feel like 'plucking.'  It certainly wasn't the 'in' thing to do.  They came out pretty, no doubt but no prettier than when at home, we simply plucked ours...

HAVING THE RIGHT TWEEZERS:

Don't skimp on the tweezers.  Cheap tweezers tend to get out of alignment, bend and lose grips - early on.  Invest  a couple of more dollars and get a good pair.

ANALYZE HOW YOU WANT YOUR BROWS:

Some of us have brows wide in length, some have narrower brows.  Some have that thickness, some have thinness.  Some of us have brows that have a natural arch to them, some of us have wide 'straight' brows.

Whatever the shape, you are going to start where the eyebrow is beginning to arch up which will be about the first third portion of the brow moving away from the bridge of the nose.

LOOSENING THE HAIRS:

Use water, as warm as you can stand it, though not hot.  Warm water is the key.  The warm water is opening the pores of your skin which will loosen the hair.  With soft cloth absorb warm water and squeeze access water out.  Press this on the first brow for about a minute. Repeat about 2-3 times.  When you are finished, begin to pluck eyebrows carefully with the tweezers.  They will come out easier and less painfully.  Repeat the same step with the second brow and of course try to have them as equal as possible.

*Don't forget to pluck the stray hairs from the top of the brow as well for a 'clean' look.

*The warm water is opening the follicles and in this area of the body is actually causing the hair to loosen from the heat.  The plucking is practically painless, quick and easy.  Apply an astringent such as Witch Hazel.
