You will need 2 pot pie plates, glue, a straw, paints, brushes, pencil. construction paper, stapler, scissors, stickers and a letter stencil. Step 1. Clean your pie plates. Then either staple them or glue them together. Set it aside to dry. Step 2. Poke a small hole into the bottom of the plates on the round edge. Insert your straw. Be sure not to bend it. Use glue to glue it in place. Step 3. Paint your flower plate and straw. Set it aside to dry. Step 4. Cut out some flower pedals out of different construction paper. You can staple or glue these to the outer edge of your flower. Step 5. Use the letter stencil and write the words Happy Mothers Day on it. Use your number 2 pencil to make the letters. Step 6. Paint the letters with your paint brush. Step 7. place stickers of butterflies, stars, birds, angels around the outer edge. Note; for an added idea, glue a picture of the child in the center on the backside of the flower plate. At the bottom, under the picture, stencil the letters "With Love." With this project, children can add other ideas as well. They should be encouraged to try new ideas. A art/craft project makes a great Mothers Day present from a child.
