How to Make Construction Paper Clay

This is a craft recipe to make construction paper clay. Construction paper clay is a very easy clay to make. And since the construction paper is what gives the clay its color you don't need food coloring. Construction paper clay can be molded like any other play clay and can also be used to make ornaments. You can also press construction paper clay into molds to create interesting textures and shapes.

Step 1:  Get the following supplies and ingredients to make construction paper clay: 2 cups of construction paper scraps, 4+1/2 cups of water, 1/2 cup of flour.

Step 2:  Tear one color of construction paper into small pieces until you have 2 cups of construction paper scraps.

Step 3:  Pour 4 cups of the water into a blender and add the construction paper scraps to the blender.

Step 4:  Blend for about 30 seconds or until the mixture turns to pulp.

Step 5:  Drain and squeeze the excess water from the mixture.

Step 6:  Mix the flour and the remaining 1/2 cup of water in a small bowl until well blended.

Step 7:  Slowly add the flour mixture to the paper pulp and knead until it forms a dough.

Step 8:  Use the dough as you would any clay or dough to make your creations.

Step 9:  Let your creations air dry for one or two days.

Step 10:  Paint and decorate your dry creations anyway you like.
