How to Make Magic Muck

This is a craft recipe to make magic muck. Magic muck is a mysterious concoction that turns from a liquid to a solid and back again. Magic muck is always a party favorite. Just make sure it's an outdoor party because the kids are very likely to make a mess with magic muck. This recipe will make a small amount of magic muck. For a party, you will want to make enough magic muck to fill the bottom of a large, shallow pan such as a large roasting pan. You may need several boxes of cornstarch to make a large batch. Just increase the recipe below as needed to make as much magic muck as you need.

Step 1:  Get the following ingredients to make magic muck: 3/4 cup cornstarch, 1/3 cup water, food coloring.

Step 2:  Mix the water and the food coloring in a small bowl.

Step 3:  Slowly add the cornstarch to the colored water but do not stir.

Step 4:  Let the blob of cornstarch sit there in the water for about 2 minutes so it can turn into magic muck.

Step 5:  Pick up the magic muck with your hands and squeeze it. It will feel like a hard ball but when you open your hand, it will turn to liquid again.

Step 6:  Let the magic muck settle for a few seconds then pick it up again and again! You can add a bit more water or more cornstarch and experiment with the results.
