How to Make Canned Green Beans Taste SpecialIntro:  Have you ever started fixing dinner and realize that the only vegetables you have in the house are canned green beans?  Well, you can simply open the can, pour the green beans into a pot, and heat them.  Nothing special.  However, it is so easy to make those same canned green beans taste amazing.  I have had guests even tell me that these are some of the best green beans they have ever had.  If they only knew....

•Can of green beans

•Extra virgin olive oil

•Onion, thinly-sliced

•Chopped fresh garlic to taste

•Cracked black pepper and kosher salt to taste

Step 1:  Drain the liquid from the can of green beans and set aside.

Step 2:  Preheat a couple of tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a skillet.

Step 3:  Add you sliced onion and chopped fresh garlic (I usually use 2-3 cloves) to the hot oil and saute lightly until almost tender.

Step 4:  Pour in the green beans and mix well with the onions and garlic.  Cook over medium heat until hot.  Salt and pepper to taste.

•This recipe works extremely well with frozen green beans, too.
