How to be prepared for a financial disaster before if hits is one of my most popular articles just because it provides readers with simple to follow tips that aren't too difficult to follow. If you are strapped for cash in these hard times its always wise to read up on how you can be prepared just in case you lose your job so continue reading below.

Step 1: Save Your Money- If you can try to save at least $600 a month and be sure to only spend it only if you need it otherwise you will be without money if some kind of financial disaster were to occur. You can also save money by eating at home and avoid starbucks at all costs think about it $5 to $6 for coffee is way to much money to be spent on coffee.

Step 2: Have Home Or Renters Insurance- Its always good to have home or renters insurance just in case a fire or some other disaster would occur. For instance my sister had an aparment that would leak constantly and since the landlord wouldn't fix it she had back up money to help her move out of that soggy apartment.

Step 3: Visit a Payday Loan Place- If you are strapped for cash you can visit a payday loan place but be warned they charge you interest and if you have the spare money to chose this step then by all means go ahead and do what you have to do. However do not do this if you don't have the money for interest.

Step 4: Visit Thrift Stores- No will ever know that you bought those designer jeans from your local thrift store unless you tell them in hard times why would you want to be stupid and spend your money on a $100 for a single pair of jeans.
