bulletin board If you have a bulletin board in your classroom or office, it is time to get it ready for Spring.  This article will give you some ideas on how to decorate your bulletin board for Spring.

"Spring means Green."  Start by using green construction paper for your background on your board.  You can usually use a paper stapler to secure this solidly.

Theme Ideas;  Make a garden, either flower or vegetable garden.  Place picture snap shots of students or employees on each piece of flower or produce.  If you do produce, try to match personalities with the particular vegetable.  For example, a lady worker, that likes to party, could be a tomato. A tall individual could be a corn stalk, etc.

Another idea could be to make a park with all attending it like a Spring Picnic.  Simply place a table cloth in the center of the board.  Then place pictures around it.  Cut out food items out of a magazine and staple them to the table cloth.

You could also do a flock of birds against a blue sky background.  Birds return in the spring.  Place their names on the birds or place a circle snapshot of their face on the head of the bird.  You could also make a large tree with faces on the limbs as buds.

If you live in a rain area, make rain drops falling on flowers.  Place a name or picture inside each raindrop.  Place a large gray cloud, in the sky, with the drops below it landing on the flowers.  The slogan, raindrops help green things grow.

Finally, you could do a bulletin board of garden tools.  Just place them on your board with a name or picture on them.  It is okay to duplicate the tools.  Businesses need tools to succeed.

A well colored bulletin board shows the importance of each individual in the classroom or office.  It is a great motivational tool to use.  Always look for ideas from others.  Contributions help to build morale.

My mom was a teacher and I always helped decorate the bulletin board. I always enjoyed putting the kids' names on the different motifs.
