Tags: How to be your own hair colorist is a fool proof way that you can save hundreds of dollars by learning how to dye your own hair at home instead of hitting the salon. Sure you might be thinking about what if I mess up doing my own hair with store bought hair dye but guess what its easier than you think. Step 1: Head To The Beauty Store- Once you arrive at the beauty store its time to head straight to the hair dyes and be sure to take the time to ask the cashier on which brands have the best results. For the best results when it comes to dyeing your hair you need to stick within three to four shades of your natural hair color. Step 2: Open Some Windows- The reason for this hair dye has some terrible smelling fumes that you probably don't want to breathing in and of course might cause the bathroom to smell a little if you don't open some windows. Step 3: Divide Your Hair- Take a comb and separate your hair into four sections and be sure to use a hair clip to keep the hair sections separated. Once your hair is clipped start applying the hair dye to one section at one time and make sure the hair is damp with dye. Step 4: Cover With A Cap- Once you have done all the hair sections you can place your damp hair into a shower cap and just wait until the time on the box is up. The reason why you want to cover your hair with a cap is because it will help the dye work deeper into the strands and roots. Step 5: Rinse And Condition- Once the time is up it is time to rinse your hair well and don't be afraid to rinse for at least five minutes after all you want to get all the dye out. It is then time to apply a deep conditioner to your hair and wait for at least ten minutes to prevent damage to your hair.
