Are you tired of throwing drab birthday parties for your child? Is your family ready for more excitement? Well, I have some good ideas for you! Your first step would be to determine what interests your child. Are they interested in sports, cooking, eating or primping? Once you determine your interests, go to the next step Know what you child enjoys? Now, sit down and come up with a budget. How much money are you willing to spend on this party? Now that your budget is set, the next question is, do you have enough in your budget to have the party at an event location, or should you throw it at your house? A good estimate for a party thrown at an event location will range. But, I would say it would be a minimum of $250-$300. If your budget is less than $300, an at home party may be the best option for you. Here are some ideas for having your party at another location (outside of the home): Roller Skating; Ice Skating; Park Zoo Bowling Entertainment establishments (Chuck E Cheese, build a bear, etc.) Hair Salon (girls); Beach (older children); Mountains (older children) Hotel with an indoor pool (local); Limo party (riding around town) Fire Station (tour); Bakery (some bakeries offer baking classes in the back) Art & Craft store (offer to have parties with craft projects) Sport Facility (offer parties with basketball, soccer, etc.) ________________________________________________ If you will have your party at your home, here are some ideas: Theme party (pick a theme and play games associated) Make your own Sundae party Pizza and ice cream party Make your own pizza party Craft/scrap booking party Beauty salon party (have another couple of moms help out and primp up the girls: hair, nails, toenails and makeup) Dress up party (have costumes available for children to put on) Cookie decorating party
